catch up.
since january we've taken evan to the hospital twice for "feberal seizures" it's when a baby has a seizure because his temperature rises too quickly - basically, their little bodies can't handle it. it's fucking really scary! i found him in the morning when i went to give him his 6 o clock bottle - his was burning up. next thing i knew we were calling 911, paramedics came - we spent the night in the hospital.
one week before his 1st birthday. yeh - it's scary.
we found out more about it, turns out it doesn't happen very often but when it does the chance of it happening again is pretty good... so he had another one (not as gnarly) about a month ago.
2 seizures... and we figure it was a connection between having him in daycare (kids are infested with illness). and we don't go to church that much because if we put him in daycare there it's pretty much the same. **what disease can we catch this week?
i dunno - let's not even try...
--
speaking of church - i joined, mostly cause i was signed up... by my wife - which is cool... but i'm not sure what it all means. seeing as how, i'm not really the "christian" type. at least, the type i have in mind that happens to be a christian. i'm more of a catholic. i think.
but the churchies out here are semi-boozers too (whooo!) and that is quite different from what i'm used to - some are still very odd. but that's not surprising, most of them are.

so i think that about does it right now... u're mostly up to date.
NOW.
I found one of the most awesome grocery stores i've ever been to - here in austin. Central Market off Lamar has a big ass backyard you can park your bike in. know what i'm sayin! it's huge, i've never seen a store attached to a park with a playscape and a wooden deck stage area for shows.
PLUS they let you drink the booze in the backyard that you buy in the store! it's fucking amazing men/women of fellow snobbish beer drinking tendencies... why? well because they have the entire collection of sam smith, the also carry fullers, stone, etc... **AHEM** need a beer guide?
neither do it, but fuck it! why not [yes... i got that (_*_) fk, funny]: here's 8 pages of condensed knowledge - call me Eve. take a great big guzzle. click me for beer guide. they also have a wine guide, but ... psshhhh - who needs that.
so the net is, go buy a beer @ CM on saturday, chances are you can enjoy it whilst listening to a decent band and also watch your kid tumble down a 2 story slide as he/she knocks over other toddlers on the way down.
they also have a ton of other high quality food stuffs like expensive/smelly cheeses and jellies/crackers/breads/fish/steak/tofu/ i dunno - pretty much anything you can think of if you're julia childs.
*my wife just gave me that "WTFR u doing...?" look. well, whatever - she's playing a Wii roleplaying game called Animal Crossing. i hate on that game all the time, i just don't get it. the graphics suck, so it's not like playing final fantasy or WOW - even though that would be such a greater means of being a nerd. YES - NERDS! it's nerdy to play those games... go to central market and have a drink.
so this game, she shakes trees and bangs rocks for money. she also has her own friends and her own little electronic life ... with made up animal creatures that speak gibberish. Evan seems to like it, he thinks it's one of his shows so he gets all into it. for a little bit, then he jibber jabbers and walks away to pick something up off the floor and put in his mouth. (he's awesome!)
there's more to this game, but i don't know what it is cause you can't shoot anything or play basketball or do anything cool - it's like "the sims" except it's fairly aimless far as i can tell. I am glad she likes it though, it seems to keep her busy, and she enjoys it thoroughly.
right now she's doing an easter egg hunt, which is SWELL b/c she missed her fishing tourney yesterday (C what i mean, it's a means of sucking the life out of people).
tomorrow it's back to work and back to guessing what the stock market is going to do. i'm hoping it goes up, but pretty sure it'll go back down a little.
